Many considered eggs suitable for health without knowing their nutritional values. Furthermore, those who are fitness freaks understand that egg-white is an excellent way to gain protein without getting any fat. But egg-yolk contains fat but gives a lot of calories.

  • Hen’s eggs are mostly available in two colors in terms of eggshells. They can be white or brown. The color does not indicate any nutritional values. Instead, it states the breed of the hen. A white feathered hen will lay white eggs, and brown feathered hen will lay brown eggs. 
  • Brown or white eggs have the same nutritional values. However, a brown egg is costly because the brown feathered hens are bigger in size and eat a lot, which makes the egg expensive.
  • An egg does not contain hormones, as the use of hormones is banned since 1950 by the FDA.
  • Similar to the shell, you might be getting a different color of the yolk, and it also doesn’t indicate any nutritional value. It all depends on the diet of the chicken. The chicken diet consists of green vegetables that will give dark-colored yolk. A medium colored egg indicates a diet of corn alfalfa, and a light color indicates a menu of wheat and barley.
  • Eggs do not have an expiring date but are sold by date in the packaging. They are considered fresh if eggs are 3 to 4 weeks old. But they may still be edible by breaking them. However, if you get a pungent smell, then the egg is rotten and unfit to consume.
  • The demand for eggs is growing day by day. An American eats about 250 eggs in a year, which makes the annual consumption of eggs by Americans to 76 billion (Approx).

  • An egg contains one-third of the cholesterol, as recommended by the average intake per day. So, you don’t have to worry about cholesterol if you are consuming eggs every day.
  • As mentioned earlier, it contains a high dose of nutrition and healthy fats with fewer calories. It also has antioxidant which fights against cancer and aging.
  • There are many different types of egg dishes available on the internet you can choose from, which are very simple to cook. Hence, you can select which recipe you like the most and get the same nutrition.

There have been studies proving that eggs improve your cholesterol profile. Moreover, eggs are right for your heart because they increase HDL and help to raise the size of LDL particles.
